After I Said No to Overtime on Wall Street

Maya, a Cuban American financial analyst, has long endured exploitation and humiliation at the hands of Jessica, a white vice president at a Wall Street investment bank. When Maya's grandmother becomes critically ill, she asks for the first time to hand off her workload, only to be told, "Life and death are the hospital's concern," causing her to miss her final chance to say goodbye. After the funeral, Maya begins fighting back with a single word: "No." Armed with emails, recordings, and system logs, she holds the real culprit accountable, brings down her abusive boss, joins a top-tier investment firm, and ultimately rises to become Director of Mergers and Acquisitions.
