Empress Shuyu's Regency

For three years, Pei Shuyu has reigned as the empress of Beichen, sharing a deep love with Emperor Xie Lin and bearing his legitimate heir, bringing peace to the court and the realm. When wars break out at the border, Xie Lin leads the army in person, leaving Pei Shuyu to govern the state alongside the empress dowager. The deposed crown prince Chu Heng stays in Beichen as an envoy, harboring lingering obsession and revenge. Consumed by jealousy, Liu Yiyi defects to the empress dowager and forms an evil alliance with Chu Heng, plotting to frame Pei Shuyu at the spring banquet. Fully prepared, Pei Shuyu calmly thwarts the scheme, stabilizes the harem and the court, and awaits the emperor’s triumphant return to punish all villains.
