Vows of the Abyss

Monstrous Abominations overrun Blue Star, forcing humans to survive by clearing deadly game‑like instances. Reborn from a brutal death, the protagonist relives his past tragedy. In his previous life, his fiancée Hela betrayed him for her beloved Rick and threw him to the monsters. Back to the fateful instance, the hero watches coldly as Hela risks the whole team to wait for Rick, which makes the exit seal shut. He arranges a space‑tunnel rescue from headquarters. Since the tunnel only works for psychics, Hela and Rick turn against each other in a life‑or‑death scramble. Banished to the harsh outer ring of the base, the pair beg to re‑join an SS‑rank instance. Rick betrays the group again and awakens hordes of Abominations. Trapped, the team carries out their plan. Rick gets consumed by the monster tree. To draw beasts away for the survivors’ escape, Hela sacrifices herself. All past grievances are settled. The protagonist returns to base with remaining teammates, free from old obsessions.（Word count:194）
